Garden additions

I got a Topsy Turvy planter for my birthday. These neat little things allow you to grow plants upside down, which cuts down on the number of bugs you get. Interestingly enough, it is made in Oak Ridge. We're going to try it with a tomato plant. You can also put peppers and cucumbers in them.

The little guy on the bottom is something I picked up at Kroger. A stunning piece of tacky garden art, the "geeky" is made of metal with a lot of springs, so his head bobs a lot and his feathers wobble. Click here for more info on the Geeky birds.

In other gardening news, we've had a lot of very nice rain. I've already had to mow the yard twice, but I think it will be good for all my plants.
