Okay. I promised Richard I would come back with a tree smaller than last year.
But thanks to the sales tactics of the cutest little 12 year old boy scout,
we have our first giant 7 foot tree!
"Woohoo!" said Mary and Robin. "Uggh!" said Richard.
(And for anyone who doubts Boo is a big kitty cat, take a look at her here with Mary holding her)

Richard has a lot of experience with large trees. I accidentally let one fall on him some years ago when he was trying to help me set it up. He was very good-natured about it even though he was covered in pine needles. He and Robin deserve to have exactly the kind of tree that they want. One of my best Christmas memories was finding a beautifully decorated fresh Christmas tree that they put up for me before I came home from the hospital after surgery in December 1998. Since it was only 4 weeks after my mother's death, it was a tremendous lift to my spirits. I hope that they enjoy this tree as much as I did that tree in 1998.
